LSU soccer ties Arizona 1-1 in non-conference match

LSU and Arizona played to a 1-1 draw on Sunday in Tempe, Arizona, moving the Tigers' season record to 1-4-1. Ava Galligan scored for LSU in the 44th minute off an assist from Senai Rogers, while Kyleigh Johnson leveled the score for Arizona in the 68th minute with an assist from Allyson Brown. Arizona outshot LSU 13-6 during the contest. The match marked the debut of Jocelyn Ollivierre and Jazmin Ferguson, who participated under a Louisiana judge’s temporary restraining order. They are the first SEC athletes to play under the terms of this order without holding signed professional contracts. LSU next hosts Baylor on September 3.
