Lucas Glover explains shoe removal at 3M Open over spike complaints

Glover, who finished tied for 57th in the tournament, stated via Instagram that it was the first time in his 23-year PGA Tour career that he faced such a complaint. He emphasized that metal spikes are permissible under the current rules, allowing players to repair spike marks on greens. Glover looks forward to competing at the Rocket Classic in Detroit, where he plans to continue wearing metal spikes. The Rocket Classic begins on Thursday.
