Luka Doncic seeks reunion with PJ Washington amid Lakers roster talks

Luka Doncic has expressed interest in reuniting with PJ Washington, formerly of the Mavericks, as the Lakers look to enhance their roster. The Lakers are considering Washington among various targets as they work on improving their wing depth. Washington previously signed a four-year, $89 million contract but had a disappointing season in 2025. For a trade to take place, the Lakers would likely need to include draft picks and players like Dalton Knecht or Jarred Vanderbilt to facilitate salary clearance. The chances of a deal hinge on how the Mavericks view the Lakers' surplus pieces and their own picks.
