Luke Altmyer made his NFL preseason debut with the Detroit Lions against the Cincinnati Bengals on August 14. Altmyer completed 13 of 22 passes for 130 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions during the game. After former teammate Teddy Bridgewater's retirement, Altmyer received more playing time as Jared Goff rested.
