Luke Altmyer throws first touchdown pass for Lions against Bengals

Luke Altmyer made his NFL debut with the Detroit Lions in their preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals on August 13, 2026. Despite not leading his team to victory, he threw his first career touchdown pass in the fourth quarter, connecting with Tarik Black on a checkdown that resulted in a 25-yard score. Altmyer finished with 130 passing yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions as the Lions lost 16-14.
