Luke Metz returns an interception for a touchdown against Kentucky

Alabama linebacker Luke Metz returned an interception for a touchdown during the first quarter of the game against Kentucky on September 12. The play tied the score at 7-7 with 6:35 remaining in the opening period. The turnover occurred shortly after Alabama quarterback Keelon Russell threw an interception that Kentucky returned for an opening touchdown. Kentucky responded to the Metz score with another touchdown to take a 14-7 lead. Metz, a first-year starter, is rotating at inside linebacker alongside Caleb Woodson for the Crimson Tide. The game is currently in progress at Lexington.
