Luke Shliger hits two home runs as Erie SeaWolves defeat Reading

The Erie SeaWolves defeated the Reading Fightin Phils 6-1 on Tuesday in an Eastern League matchup. Catcher Luke Shliger led the offense by hitting two solo home runs and recording three hits in four at-bats. Starting pitcher Max Alba earned the win after limiting Reading to one run on three hits over five innings. Chris Meyers, recently added to the roster from Toledo, also contributed a solo home run in the fourth inning. Relief pitchers Tanner Kohlhepp and Luke Taggart combined for four scoreless innings to close the game. In other Tigers farm system news, the scheduled start for River Ryan with the Toledo Mud Hens was postponed due to rain.
