The Minnesota Lynx (31-7) will host the Golden State Valkyries (25-11) on August 24, 2026, aiming to secure the top seed for the WNBA playoffs. The Lynx are on a six-game winning streak, recently defeating the Washington Mystics 94-84, though they lost guard Courtney Williams to a foot injury late in the match. The Valkyries, coming off a narrow 73-70 defeat to the Chicago Sky, managed to erase a significant 21-point deficit during that game. This matchup could see Minnesota complete a 4-0 sweep against Golden State this season, with key performances anticipated from Lynx players Olivia Miles and Natasha Howard, and Valkyries' standout Gabby Williams.
