Mack Wilson Sr. of the Arizona Cardinals has changed his jersey number from No. 2 to No. 1, coinciding with the team's preparations for the 2026 NFL season. Wilson aims to improve on his performance after missing nine games during the 2025 season, where he still managed to rank fifth in total tackles among teammates despite limited play. His new number is seen as a symbolic gesture of leadership on the defensive unit, similar to former quarterback Kyler Murray. Wilson's ability to contribute effectively will be crucial for the Cardinals, especially with injury management in focus going into the new season.
