Madelene Sagstrom competes in U.S. Women's Open while seven months pregnant

Madelene Sagstrom, ranked 73rd in the world, is participating in the U.S. Women's Open at Riviera Country Club while seven months pregnant. During her first round, she experienced Braxton Hicks contractions but continued to play 18 holes, taking breaks as needed. Sagstrom expressed her motivation for playing, saying it provides purpose during her pregnancy. Despite some physical challenges, she intends to also participate in the Dow Championship next week and has not ruled out the KPMG Women’s PGA later this month.
