Madrid revokes Rayo Vallecano's stadium concession for urgent renovations

The Community of Madrid has withdrawn Rayo Vallecano’s access to Vallecas stadium to begin immediate renovations due to safety concerns. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Sport, Mariano de Paco, cited audit findings indicating serious maintenance issues. The renovation work is expected to last several months. As a result, Rayo Vallecano will not be able to start the upcoming season in its own stadium. The regional government aims to address fire safety and sanitation problems with total urgency.
