Madring circuit hosts first official F3 test ahead of Spanish GP

As the new F1 venue at Madring circuit in Madrid prepares for its inaugural race, it has commenced its first official track action with an FIA Formula 3 in-season test. Completing on August 24, this test follows earlier speculation regarding the venue's readiness for the Spanish GP set for September 11-13. Campos Racing's Ugo Ugochukwu achieved the fastest lap of 1m51.901s in the morning session, which was later improved by Trident’s Freddie Slater to 1m50.343s. The test recorded smooth running with minimal red flags, indicating good safety measures at the new facility, which features a unique banked curve. The ongoing test serves as a key milestone in preparations for the upcoming races.
