Magic sign second-round pick Nelson and re-sign Castleton on two-way deals

The Orlando Magic announced the signing of second-round pick Izaiyah Nelson to a two-year two-way contract on July 1. Nelson, selected No. 51 overall in the recent NBA draft, will split time between the Magic and their G League affiliate. The team has also re-signed center Colin Castleton to a two-way deal, after he spent last season on a similar contract. Orlando now has filled all three two-way spots, having previously signed Alex Morales to a two-year two-way deal in February. The Magic sit approximately $2.5 million under the salary cap threshold after signing several veterans earlier on June 30.
