Miami wide receiver Malachi Toney and Colorado defensive lineman Lamont Lester Jr. received Walter Camp National Player of the Week honors on Wednesday. Toney earned the recognition after recording 12 receptions for 234 yards and three touchdowns in Miami's 45-6 win over Stanford last Friday. That performance set a single-game school record for receiving yards. Lester Jr. secured his award following a five-tackle, three-sack performance during Colorado's 14-13 victory over Georgia Tech on Thursday. The three sacks marked the highest debut total for a Colorado player since 2003. Toney prepares to return to the field against Florida A&M on Thursday, while Lester Jr. and Colorado host Weber State this Saturday.
