Malaysia to host Bahrain Grand Prix in October 2026

Formula 1 has confirmed that Malaysia will host the Bahrain Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit from October 2-4, 2026. This decision comes after the original event was postponed due to ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The race retains its Bahrain title but shifts to Malaysia as the Gulf state funds the event. This marks Malaysia's return to Formula 1 for the first time since 2017. Approval from the World Motor Sport Council is still required, but is expected to be a formality.
