Malcolm DeWalt makes Atlanta Falcons 53-man roster for 2026 season

Bremerton native and former Olympic High School student Malcolm DeWalt IV has secured a spot on the Atlanta Falcons' initial 53-man roster for the 2026 NFL season. The defensive back, who played collegiately at the University of Akron, joined the organization as an undrafted free agent in April following the 2026 NFL Draft. DeWalt confirmed his roster status on August 30 after surviving the final round of cuts. This achievement marks the first time a West Sound high school product has reached an NFL roster since 2017. The 6-foot-2, 197-pound defender is currently in position to be active for Atlanta's regular-season opener against Pittsburgh on September 13. He previously competed at both Snow College and Butte College before completing his collegiate eligibility.
