Malik Mustapha's injury alters 49ers safety competition during camp
Summary

San Francisco 49ers safety Malik Mustapha has sustained a hamstring injury during practice, affecting the team's defensive lineup. Mustapha's absence allows Marques Sigle to take more reps with the first team, potentially securing a starting position alongside Ji'Ayir Brown. The extent of Mustapha's injury remains unclear, but he is expected to miss at least several practices. Sigle, who previously started last season, was replaced mid-year by Mustapha. The performance during this time will be crucial for Sigle's chances of reclaiming a starting job.
