Man City contract talks with Rodri remain on hold amid World Cup focus

Summary

Contract negotiations between Manchester City and Rodri have been paused as the midfielder aims for success with Spain in the FIFA World Cup. Rodri, in the final year of his contract, previously expressed dissatisfaction with an initial offer from the club. Although Real Madrid showed interest, they are not pursuing a move for him this summer. Manchester City is also planning their transfer strategy following the impending departure of key player Bernardo Silva, who is set to join Real Madrid. Talks for Rodri's extension may resume after the World Cup, allowing for a potential free agency next summer.
