Man City favored to pursue defender Marco Palestra this summer

Manchester City appears to be in a strong position to sign Italian defender Marco Palestra, who has garnered interest from several clubs in the Premier League. With Palestra expected to leave Cagliari this summer, City is viewed as a preferred destination if they formally enter the race. City, looking to bolster their squad after losing the Premier League title to Arsenal and amidst managerial changes, has not yet made a formal approach. Inter Milan and Atalanta are also involved, with Inter seeking Palestra as a replacement for Denzel Dumfries, who recently transferred to Real Madrid. Atalanta reportedly seeks at least €50 million for the player.
