Manchester City makes lineup changes for Premier League opener against Bournemouth

Manchester City has made two changes to its starting lineup for the 2026/27 Premier League opener against Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium. Marc Guéhi and Rico Lewis are in, replacing Mateo Kovačić, who moves to the bench, and Jérémy Doku, who is sidelined by injury. Manager Enzo Maresca will lead his first match in the Premier League after taking over from Pep Guardiola. The match also marks the 200th City appearance for striker Erling Haaland, who scored 22 goals in 14 August Premier League matches in the past.
