Manchester City is undergoing a significant transformation this summer, having lost four starters from their Treble-winning team, including Manuel Akanji and Bernardo Silva. New manager Enzo Maresca expresses a strong desire to retain Rodri, who recently captained Spain to World Cup success but is set for back surgery and may miss an unspecified duration. Meanwhile, City has bolstered their squad with the signing of £116m Elliot Anderson and 17-year-old Jeremy Monga, amid growing speculation of Real Madrid's interest in Rodri. City's midfield strategy will evolve whether or not Rodri is available, as they also monitor promising talent Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille.
