Manchester City pursue Everton forward Ornella Vignola before transfer deadline

Summary

Manchester City is attempting to sign Everton forward Ornella Vignola before the transfer window closes. The deadline for clubs to finalize roster moves ahead of the 2026/27 WSL season is 11pm GMT. City, the reigning champions led by manager Andrée Jeglertz, are seeking additional attacking reinforcements. While the club has been linked to Paris Saint-Germain player Jennifer Echegini, journalist Emma Sanders of BBC Sport reports that City is pushing specifically for a deal involving Vignola. The Spaniard joined Everton from Granada last summer and recorded five goals across 27 appearances during her debut season in England. City officials remain active in the market to strengthen their squad as the final hours of the window progress.
