Manchester United and Mateus Fernandes reach personal terms amid fee disagreement

Summary

Manchester United has agreed to personal terms with 21-year-old Mateus Fernandes, signaling a strong interest in finalizing a transfer. However, a significant fee gap remains between United's proposal of £65 million plus add-ons and West Ham's demand of over £80 million. West Ham seeks at least £85 million given financial pressures following relegation, complicating negotiations. United is expected to make a formal bid soon to test West Ham's resolve on the asking price.
