Manchester United appoints Adam Lawrence to lead UEFA Youth League squad

Manchester United has selected Adam Lawrence to manage the club's Under-19 team for the upcoming UEFA Youth League campaign. Lawrence, who currently serves as the Under-21 head coach, was chosen for the role following internal discussions that included consideration of Under-18 boss Darren Fletcher for the position. Lawrence rejoined the club after a brief tenure at Newcastle and recently replaced Travis Binnion, who transitioned to a first-team backroom role under Michael Carrick. The Under-19 squad is scheduled to face Sabah at Leigh Sports Village this Thursday. This fixture takes place hours before the clubs' first-team counterparts meet at Old Trafford. Lawrence previously led United's youth setup during the 2024 campaign and directed the Under-21 side to a play-off final last season.
