Manchester United is preparing to make a bid for defender Lewis Hall, who is currently with Newcastle United. The intention follows Hall's recent exclusion from the England squad for the World Cup. His frustrations, stemming from being played out of position and limited game time, may drive him towards a transfer this summer. Newcastle, having finished 12th in the Premier League, faces the potential departure of several players. While Hall has three years remaining on his contract, he is reportedly open to exploring opportunities elsewhere.
- •Lewis Hall misses England's World Cup squad after inconsistent playtime.
- •Manchester United sees Hall as a long-term replacement for Luke Shaw.
- •Newcastle finished 12th in the Premier League, missing out on European competition.
- •Hall made 47 appearances for Newcastle across all competitions last season.
