Manchester United seeks pay cut from Luke Shaw for new contract talks

Summary

Manchester United has informed Luke Shaw that he must accept a pay cut before negotiations for a new contract can commence. The 30-year-old defender is in the final year of his current deal, and United is exploring their wage structure. Shaw, who recently had a consistent season, is one of the club's key players but faces uncertainty regarding his future unless he agrees to the pay reduction. The team is also looking to strengthen their left side, considering possible additions at left-back and left wing. Similar terms were applied with Harry Maguire earlier this year.
