Manchester United shows interest in defender Ruud Nijstad for next season

Summary

Manchester United is reportedly tracking young Dutch defender Ruud Nijstad, following reports that Lisandro Martinez may leave the club. Sources indicate that United aims to strengthen their defense next year after a less active summer transfer window. The 18-year-old Nijstad has impressed at FC Twente, emerging as a key player for the Eredivisie side. If Martinez departs, United will require a left-footed center-back, and Nijstad fits that profile. The club's scouting team, led by Jason Wilcox and Christopher Vivell, is exploring options as defensive changes loom.
