Manchester United shows interest in Middlesbrough's Hayden Hackney

Summary

Manchester United is pursuing Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney, as the club's summer rebuild progresses. Hackney, 23, has one year remaining on his contract following Middlesbrough's playoff defeat to Hull City. With interest from clubs like Crystal Palace, Tottenham, and Everton, Carrick's familiarity with Hackney could also play a crucial role in this potential transfer. Hackney offers a blend of press resistance and passing ability, which aligns with United's midfield needs after losing Casemiro. His future may hinge on whether Manchester United pairs him with a more established signing this summer.
