Manchester United targets Ederson and Santos amid midfield struggles
Summary

Manchester United is focusing on Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos and Bournemouth's Alex Scott to strengthen their midfield following recent departures and injuries. Casemiro has left the club, with the status of Manuel Ugarte uncertain due to a serious knee injury sustained during World Cup duty. United had previously aimed to secure Elliot Anderson and Mateus Fernandes but faced competition and missed out on these key targets. Currently, they have reached a £35 million agreement with Atalanta for Ederson, but complications due to his World Cup participation will delay his arrival. As United prepares for pre-season training on July 9, they must quickly resolve their midfield issues ahead of upcoming fixtures.
