Manchester United targets Mateus Fernandes from West Ham this summer

Summary

Manchester United is reportedly preparing to pursue West Ham United midfielder Mateus Fernandes during the upcoming summer transfer period. The 21-year-old, who has shown promise despite West Ham's relegation struggle last season, recorded three goals and four assists in 36 league matches. With his contract set to run until 2030, negotiating a deal may prove challenging. Fernandes' skill set as a box-to-box midfielder makes him a viable option for manager Michael Carrick's plans, potentially providing depth and competition in the midfield.
