Manchester United is pursuing Manu Koné, Alex Scott, and Ayyoub Bouaddi for midfield signings after the collapse of the Ederson deal due to medical issues. The club had hoped to add three midfielders this summer but now aims for two signings. Andrey Santos has been signed from Chelsea for £50 million, while Koné's price may increase following his World Cup performances. Bournemouth is not willing to sell Scott for less than £80 million, and Lille is reportedly holding out for a similar price for Bouaddi. United may also reexamine options for Brighton’s Carlos Baleba as a fallback.
