Manchester United works on deal for Mateus Fernandes amid competition

Summary

Manchester United is reportedly close to finalizing a deal for Portuguese midfielder Mateus Fernandes. The club is preparing to make an offer, but West Ham's valuation at £80 million may pose a challenge. Despite interest from other clubs like Real Madrid and PSG, United aims to keep their bid under £70 million. The situation is further complicated by United's interest in Crysencio Summerville, potentially leading to a combined offer of £110 million for both players. The negotiations remain ongoing as Manchester United looks to strengthen their midfield ahead of the new campaign.
