Maple Leafs explore potential trade for Pavel Zacha from Bruins

Summary

The Toronto Maple Leafs could pursue Boston Bruins center Pavel Zacha as a potential solution to their lineup issues, contingent on contract negotiations. If Zacha and the Bruins fail to reach an extension before his free agency next summer, Boston may consider trading him. This scenario presents an opportunity for Toronto to acquire a second-line center, allowing John Tavares to shift roles. The Maple Leafs must weigh the trade costs against the benefits, avoiding overpayment while seeking adequate depth in their roster. A deal would depend on Zacha's contract demands and what Boston seeks in return.
