Marc-Andre ter Stegen returns to Barcelona to finalize Ajax loan deal

Summary

Marc-Andre ter Stegen has returned to Barcelona after cutting short his summer holiday to expedite a loan move to Ajax. The German goalkeeper is awaiting final approval for the transfer, with personal terms reportedly agreed. Ajax's formal proposal seeks an initial loan rather than a permanent transfer, but salary negotiations remain unresolved. Ter Stegen aims for more playing time after falling in the order at Barcelona, where he is now third in the goalkeeping hierarchy. Ajax coach Michel, who previously worked with Ter Stegen, supports the move, but the clubs need to find common ground financially.
