Marco Luciano hits eighth-inning home run in RailRiders win over Red Wings

Marco Luciano hit a tie-breaking two-run home run in the eighth inning to lead the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders to a 5-3 win over the Rochester Red Wings on Friday night at Innovative Field. The result creates a virtual tie atop the International League standings with only eight games remaining in the season. Rochester had rallied to tie the game in the sixth inning behind a solo home run from Cayden Wallace, but the offense was held scoreless over the final three frames. RailRiders reliever Xavier Rivas earned the win while Travis MacGregor recorded the save. Matt Krook took the loss for the Red Wings after surrendering the decisive home run.
