The Dallas Mavericks have acquired Marcus Sasser from the Detroit Pistons. Sasser, 25, previously played three seasons in Detroit and was noted for his strong collegiate career at Houston, where he was a consensus first-team All-American in 2023. He will compete for backup guard minutes behind Kyrie Irving, alongside Ryan Nembhard and Sergio De Larrea. This marks a return to Dallas for Sasser, who was a standout high school player at Red Oak.
