Marine Johannès uncertain about return to Liberty after semifinal sweep

Summary

The New York Liberty were swept by the Atlanta Dream in the WNBA semifinals, culminating in an 85-83 loss on Friday night. Marine Johannès expressed uncertainty about her future with the team, stating she isn't sure if she will return next season. This playoff exit follows New York's historic victory as an eighth seed, previously eliminating the top-seeded Minnesota Lynx. Liberty general manager Jonathan Kolb emphasized Johannès' importance to the organization since her arrival in 2019. With the Dream advancing to the Finals against the Golden State Valkyries, the Liberty must reassess their roster and coaching moving forward.
