Marist basketball teams set for inaugural America East-Metro event

Marist University's men and women’s basketball teams will participate in the first America East-Metro Basketball Challenge in early November. The men's team will host Maryland-Baltimore County on Nov. 5 and visit Massachusetts Lowell on Nov. 8, while the women’s team will play at Bryant on Nov. 5 and host New Jersey Institute of Technology on Nov. 8. This event includes nine schools from each conference and marks a beginning of a two-year agreement, enriching the basketball for both leagues. The regular-season champions from last year include Vermont women and UMBC men from America East, with Quinnipiac women and Merrimack men representing the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
