Mark Briscoe announces main event for Forbidden Door Steel Cage Match

Mark Briscoe will captain a team in a Six-on-Six Tag Team Steel Cage Match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on June 28. Following his victory over PAC on AEW Dynamite, Briscoe called out AEW World Champion MJF, who has repeatedly denied him a title shot. After an attack on Briscoe by MJF's hired wrestlers, Tony Khan confirmed the main event match stipulation. If Briscoe’s team wins, he secures a guaranteed title match against MJF. The event will feature a return of the multi-man Steel Cage Match format after its 2025 predecessor.
