Mark Cuban faces fan criticism following NBA verdict on Clippers

Mark Cuban is drawing public criticism following his recent social media message regarding an NBA investigation into the Los Angeles Clippers and Kawhi Leonard. After the league released its verdict on allegations of salary-cap circumvention, the Dallas Mavericks minority owner posted a brief congratulatory note to journalist Pablo Torre, who initially reported the story. The gesture triggered a backlash from fans who recalled Cuban’s previous public defense of Steve Ballmer and his skepticism toward the reports throughout 2025. In the months since the allegations surfaced, Cuban had frequently challenged the validity of the claims and the reporting process. While his latest acknowledgment of the investigation results is viewed by some as a concession, it has also sparked renewed scrutiny of his earlier stances on the matter.
