Mark Vientos of the New York Mets will begin a rehab assignment with AA Binghamton after recovering from a hand injury. Vientos has been on the injured list since early July due to a fracture in his right hand. Before his injury, he was struggling at the plate, slashing.211/.256/.388 with 11 home runs and 35 RBIs in 254 plate appearances. The Mets aim for him to rejoin the team next week in time for the final stretch of the season as they face the Chicago White Sox.
