Markieff Morris pitches for 76ers' final veteran spot amid Love interest

Summary

Philadelphia native Markieff Morris publicly expressed interest in joining the 76ers following reports that Kevin Love desires to reunite with LeBron James in Philadelphia. Morris claimed on social media, "if it’s anybody getting that last Vet roster spot it’s gonna be me!" This comes after Love's agent contacted the 76ers about a possible fit. Although Morris has championship experience with James from their time on the Lakers, there has been no formal contract discussions. The 76ers currently have a full roster but could explore trades to accommodate a veteran addition.
