Sean Mahoney, the longtime football coach at Marlborough High, passed away on June 12 after battling Multiple System Atrophy, a rare neurodegenerative disease. Mahoney, who was 63, started coaching in 1994 and led Marlborough for 20 seasons, achieving 154 wins. His last coaching victory came in October 2024. He is survived by his wife, Nikki, three children, and two grandsons. Funeral service details will be announced soon.
