Marlins extend losing streak to 11 games amid trade deadline decisions

Summary

The Miami Marlins endured their 11th consecutive loss on Saturday, falling 7-2 to the San Diego Padres at loanDepot park. Ty France led the Padres with three RBIs, while Eury Perez pitched seven innings for the Marlins. This losing streak follows a strong 26-11 stretch that had positioned Miami as potential buyers at the upcoming trade deadline. Now one game under.500 and three games behind in the Wild Card race, the Marlins face critical decisions, particularly regarding pitcher Sandy Alcantara's future as trade talks intensify with interested teams like the Los Angeles Dodgers.
