Marlins lead Cardinals 1-0 in weather-delayed game

Summary

The Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals are currently in a weather delay during their game at Busch Stadium, which began on June 26, 2026. The game was halted in the top of the eighth inning with Miami holding a 1-0 lead, having just scored the only run of the contest. Rain moved into the area shortly after the Marlins scored, prompting the delay at approximately 9:15 p.m. CDT. A resumption time was projected for 9:40 p.m. CDT, but ongoing rain has raised questions about the feasibility of that timeline. Both teams are contending for playoff positioning, with the Cardinals at 42-36 and the Marlins at 42-39.
