Marlins rally late to edge Phillies 8-7 in Miami

The Miami Marlins secured an 8-7 victory against the Philadelphia Phillies on July 27, 2026, at LoanDepot Park. Philadelphia jumped ahead with an early Bryce Harper two-run home run, but the Marlins responded strongly after the third inning, led by Otto Lopez’s aggressive base running and timely hits. Despite a rough outing from Phillies starter Zack Wheeler, who exited early, Philadelphia regained the lead in the sixth after a ground rule double awarded home to J.T. Realmuto. However, Miami leveled the score late and ultimately won through a crucial hit from Griffin Conine. The victory provided the Marlins with much-needed momentum as they sought to break a losing streak.
