Marquette and Illinois volleyball teams schedule home-and-home series

Marquette and Illinois will play a volleyball home-and-home series this weekend. The first match is scheduled for Friday at the Al McGuire Center in Milwaukee, followed by a Sunday contest at Huff Hall in Champaign, Illinois. The teams are looking to improve their non-conference strength of schedule with an eye on the NCAA tournament. Marquette enters the series with a young team that has recorded three losses in their last four matches. Illinois holds a 4-2 record after securing a 3-0 victory against Lindenwood on Wednesday. The series offers both programs a chance to collect wins against a Big Ten opponent to bolster their RPI standing.
