Marquette secures 2027 commitment from center Akol Nyok

Akol Nyok, a 7-foot-1 center, has announced his commitment to Marquette's men's basketball program on October 9. Nyok, who is the No. 103 recruit in the 2027 class according to the 247Sports composite index, joins fellow recruits Philipe Ndong and Marlon Martinez. The native of South Sudan chose Marquette over offers from Virginia Tech after visiting the campus in late July. Nyok plays for Columbus High School in Miami and will compete with his team in the Overtime Elite league as Cold Hearts starting next season.
