Marquette volleyball splits matches against South Florida and Stanford

Marquette traveled to Palo Alto, California, this weekend for a two-match slate, finishing with a 1-1 record. The Golden Eagles defeated South Florida in three sets on Saturday, with set scores of 25-16, 25-22, and 25-19. Carson Tyler led the effort with 14 kills and 10 digs. On Sunday, Marquette faced #4 Stanford, securing the third set before falling in four sets with final scores of 25-20, 25-18, 20-25, and 25-12. The Golden Eagles currently hold a 2-3 record on the season, with both losses coming against teams ranked in the top five of the AVCA poll at the time of the matches.
