Marshfield football beats Milton 42-25 in season opener

Marshfield High School opened its football season with a 42-25 road victory over Milton on Thursday, Sept. 10. Senior receiver Luke Richardson led the offensive effort with three touchdown catches while recording over 150 receiving yards. Quarterback Nate Rollinson connected on five touchdown passes throughout the contest to help secure the result. Additional scoring came from Cole Hannigan and Austin Bossey, while the defense contributed with interceptions by Keigan Holte and Jimmy Perfetuo. This win represents a rare Week 1 success for coach Chris Arouca, as the program had previously struggled to open their seasons with a victory during his tenure. Milton, a Division 3 semifinalist last year, played with a heavily reconstructed roster following the graduation of several key starters.
